| By JoAnna Bennett, Website owner
and Weimaraner fancier
This web site is devoted to the Weimaraner and people who admire
them and other purebred dogs. A lot has been written on the subject
already, and my intention is not to repeat information that is
readily available elsewhere.
What you will read below is an encapsulation of over twenty years
of experience with pet ownership, four of which has been spent
learning specifically about Weimaraners, dog breeders, dog shows,
ethics in breeding and how all this may or may not fit in with
our lives as pet owners in the world today.
Hopefully this information will help with not only finding that
first-time Weimaraner either through an ethical breeder or rescue
organization, but to be able to objectively decide whether or
not the addition of a large hunting dog to your family is appropriate.
This site includes links to some Colorado breeders who have websites
devoted to Weimaraners. While I am familiar with these breeders,
I do not specifically endorse or benefit in any way from the links.
I do recommend you take advantage of the information about the
breed you will find if you visit the sites.
My opinions are not necessarily approved of by any person, business
or organization linked to this site. If you read something here
you don't agree with or understand, check it out. If what
you read here allows you to ask more questions and be able to
evaluate the answers, then I have done what I intended.
